ROLE OF PARENTS

At THE MUNCHKINS we believe that parents are an integral part of the education process and we involve them in school activities on a regular basis. Parents are informed about the happenings at THE MUNCHKINS through informative newsletters. This gives them a clear picture of what their child has learnt and the fun activities that he has participated in. Besides this there are regular parent-teacher sessions where there is a useful exchange of information on the child's progress and also informal sessions where parents participate in fun activities with the children.
INFRASTRUCTURE
We have well ventilated and lighted rooms. It also has a medium sized Splash water pool in which children simply freak out during summers. The Pre-Nursery and Nursery classes are very well equipped with educational toys, games, CD’s , bicycles/tricycles, swings, slides, aquarium , etc. It also has pet animals and birds for children to exuberate. Not to mention the fact that the immense greenery and the beautiful flowers makes one feel in the lap of nature. A newly made skating rink is a future attraction. The school proposes to have a Computer Lab, a Dance Room and Activity Room.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere that stimulates children to develop their social, physical, communication and motor skills. We aim to develop their ability to work together, listen and the desire to learn. The curriculum focuses on interactive learning, providing opportunities for sensorial and kinesthetic exploration of hands-on materials. The emphasis of the curriculum is also on active interactions to promote the development of children’s language, social and emotional skills. Some of the the main components are hands-on learning, circle time, music and movement activities
